Just a week removed from Rihanna being named the world’s wealthiest female musician, the 31 year old musician and cosmetic mogul, revealed a breadth of information on her future plans.
Rihanna sat down with an interview with her Ocean’s 8 co-star Sarah Paulson, for Interview Magazine, in which she touched on the status and future of her career, and managing her time between industries.
“I don’t have a sleep pattern. I have sleep pockets. I fit it in when I can,” Rihanna said.
“It’s the reason why an album isn’t being spat out like it used to. I used to be in the studio, only the studio, for three months straight, and an album would come out.”
Rihanna has realized that in being the wealthiest female musician, her career requires balance between all of its facets.
“Now, it’s like a carousel,” Rihanna said. “I do fashion one day, lingerie the next, beauty the next, then music the next. It’s like having a bunch of kids, and you need to take care of them all.”
The Rihanna Navy has remained relentless as ever for new music, but RiRi addressed this while seeming unshaken in her intentions for R9 (Rihanna’s untitled 9th album).
“It really does suck that [R9] can’t just come out, because I’m working on a really fun one right now,” Rihanna told Paulson. “I’m really happy with a lot of the material we have so far, but I am not going to put [R9] out until it’s complete.
